2027 Designs Took to the Runway on the First Day of IF Wedding Fashion İzmir
The first day of IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – the 19th Bridal Gown, Groom Suit and Evening Wear Fair was as colorful and lively as expected. Over the course of three days, the fair will host not only business meetings but also fashion shows where next year’s designs are showcased on the runway.
Opening its doors for the 19th time, IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, one of Europe’s largest fashion fairs, continues to welcome visitors at Fuar İzmir. On the first day, five runway shows presented the bridal gown, evening wear, and special design trends of the 2027 season. The shows, held throughout the day, attracted great interest from both domestic and international professional visitors.
The opening fashion show was presented by Shadozi, a brand from Uzbekistan that has expanded into the global fashion scene. Organized with choreography by Serkan and Gökhan Duman from Duman Agency, the show featured a 30-piece bridal collection, bringing together models from many different parts of the world on the same runway. With its international atmosphere, the show reflected IF Wedding Fashion İzmir’s global fashion vision.
Famous Models Took to the Runway
In the second session of the day, bridal and evening wear designs by Maxra Govana were showcased. The runway featured well-known names such as Miss Universe Türkiye 2025 Ceren Arslan, Özge Ulusoy, Ivana Sert, and Hande Deniz Uluğ.
Speaking after the show, Arslan stated that it was her first time walking the runway in Türkiye following Miss Universe, and expressed her happiness to be part of such a prestigious event. Ulusoy also emphasized that IF Wedding Fashion İzmir has been a joyful meeting point every year for models to reunite with old friends and colleagues.
Serving as both host and model, Ivana Sert shared her excitement about being at the fair, noting that her love for modeling and presenting reflects positively on stage. She added with a smile:
“You know, I am an İzmir bride. İzmir holds a very special place for me.”
Güzide Duran Received Great Applause
The runway show introducing Ümit Collection’s bridal and evening wear designs was choreographed by Akif Örük. Featuring 40 models from Rönesans Model Agency, including famous names such as Güzide Duran, Ari Ünal, and Olimpia Ahenk, the show gained special attention as Güzide Duran returned to the runway after 17 years, receiving enthusiastic applause.
After the show, Duran expressed her excitement:
“I missed the runway. After nearly 17 years—almost 20—it is incredibly thrilling to be back. We are continuing from where we left off, and I am truly happy to be here.”
She also highlighted that healthy nutrition and regular exercise help her maintain her form, emphasizing discipline as the key to success.
White House Celebrated Its 35th Anniversary at IF Wedding Fashion İzmir
One of the strongest brands in bridal and evening wear fashion, White House, celebrated its 35th anniversary with a special fashion show at IF Wedding Fashion İzmir. The anniversary collection was presented by 20 professional models from Türkiye and around the world.
Choreographed by Duman Agency, the show once again demonstrated the brand’s enduring design strength and its strong connection with İzmir.
A Gala Finale with Wigs on the Runway
The day concluded with a spectacular gala fashion show featuring the collection of Rojbey by Günbeyi Group. Hosted by Nizamettin Günbeyi, the evening brought famous models such as Özge Ulusoy, Güzide Duran, Demet Şener, Wilma Elles, Gizem Özdilli, and Ece Gürsel to the runway.
With a cast of 30 local and international models organized by Duman Agency, the show turned into a visual feast. One of the most memorable moments of the night came during the finale, when models appeared on the runway wearing wigs, drawing significant attention from the audience.
After the show, models shared their impressions:
“It was the first time we walked with such different wigs. They suited the outfits perfectly and matched the spirit of the brand.”
Describing the Rojbey designs as “bold and striking,” the models also emphasized the importance of the fair for both themselves and the industry.
