THE SUBJECT OF THE COMPETITION
"Equilibrium" in fashion literature has been a powerful expression carrying profound concepts such as balance, sustainability, and the harmony of contrasts. It signifies the coexistence of tradition and modernity, nature and digitality, flamboyance and simplicity within the same design in a harmonious way.

The equilibrium of competing influences contains a contrast within itself, a dynamism within calmness. It is the state of establishing harmony between elegance and comfort, tradition and innovation, flamboyance and simplicity.

Minimal yet attractive; characterized by simplicity.

THE PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION
• To empower the industry with innovative designs.
• To enhance the industry’s competitiveness by encouraging unique designs that set fashion and trends in international markets.
• To facilitate breakthroughs in the careers of young designers.

SUBJECT and OBJECTIVE OF THE COMPETITION

İzmir Fair Services Culture and Art Affairs Trade Inc. (İZFAŞ) in cooperation with Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association (EGSD) will organize a “Wedding Dress Design Competition” within the scope of IF Wedding Fashion İzmir 2022 Fair activities. "Wedding Dress Design Contest" is a design competition organized to add young designers to the bridal gown sector in Türkiye and to accelerate the sector. Young designers, together with the experience they will gain during costume sewing, will have the opportunity to make a fashion show of the evening and wedding dress costumes that they will sew for 1 year.

In this context, among the objectives of the aforementioned competition; to strengthen the sector with new designs, to reveal and promote unique designs that can create fashion and trends in the sector in international markets, to increase the competitiveness of the sector, helping to strengthen the innovative and original designer identity in the wedding dress industry.
