"LUMINARY"

Luminary represents the journey of discovering the light within oneself, transforming from darkness into illumination, and ultimately becoming a source of inspiration for others. The theme focuses on hope, rebirth, imagination, courage, and the power of creative expression, interpreting light not merely as a physical element, but as a metaphor for ideas, emotions, energy, and transformation.
Inspired by this theme, participants are expected to create original designs that reflect the birth of light, inner transformation, enlightenment, inspiration, and a visionary perspective that shapes the future through their own unique interpretation.
LUMINARY is more than a design that simply represents light; it is a design manifesto that celebrates those who discover their inner light, express it with confidence, and reveal a creative vision capable of shaping the future of fashion. Within the scope of this theme, we invite you to present inspiring, original, and forward-looking designs that reflect your unique design language and illuminate the future.
SUBJECT and OBJECTIVE OF THE COMPETITION
İzmir Fair Services Culture and Art Affairs Trade Inc. (İZFAŞ) in cooperation with Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association (EGSD) will organize a “Wedding Dress Design Competition” within the scope of IF Wedding Fashion İzmir 2022 Fair activities. "Wedding Dress Design Contest" is a design competition organized to add young designers to the bridal gown sector in Türkiye and to accelerate the sector. Young designers, together with the experience they will gain during costume sewing, will have the opportunity to make a fashion show of the evening and wedding dress costumes that they will sew for 1 year.
In this context, among the objectives of the aforementioned competition; to strengthen the sector with new designs, to reveal and promote unique designs that can create fashion and trends in the sector in international markets, to increase the competitiveness of the sector, helping to strengthen the innovative and original designer identity in the wedding dress industry.
