Having continued its growth every year since it began 13 years ago, IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – Bridal Wear, Groom Wear and Eveningwear Fair staged a show of strength in Istanbul. Meeting with the city’s leading industry professionals, İZFAŞ General Manager Canan Karaosmanoğlu Alıcı stated:
“This is not just a bridal fair; it is a fair where eveningwear, groom wear, and accessories are also at the center. İzmir is the right place for this fair to be held. Our vision for IF Wedding Fashion İzmir goes far beyond what we are discussing here today. Come to us with your demands. We are a strong institution, and we will strive to do our best.”
Introducing Türkiye to the world in the bridal, groom wear, and eveningwear sectors, IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – Bridal Wear, Groom Wear and Eveningwear Fair, the pride of the country, continues to bring industry professionals together. Hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, organized by İZFAŞ in partnership with the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association (EGSD), IF Wedding Fashion İzmir will welcome the new year with a “pure white” beginning between January 21–24, 2020. Following meetings with İzmir-based companies, IF Wedding Fashion İzmir also brought together leading names from Istanbul. At the Information and Evaluation Meeting held in Istanbul, the İZFAŞ team provided briefings to prominent companies in the city, carrying the excitement of the fair to Istanbul as well.
Emphasizing that the fair will be more productive with the right efforts, İZFAŞ General Manager Canan Karaosmanoğlu Alıcı said:
“As İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and İZFAŞ, we attach great importance to the bridal, groom wear, and eveningwear sectors. We will work together with you to make İzmir an even stronger brand. We are aware of the importance of Istanbul-based companies—especially in the eveningwear segment—for our fair, and we are shaping our efforts accordingly. This year, we have further strengthened our visitor and purchasing delegation activities. We are working to bring the right audiences from your target countries and regions. We have also developed a software platform that will enable buyers and exhibitors to connect. When used efficiently, this system will deliver significant benefits.”
Stating that upcoming data-driven studies will further increase satisfaction for both exhibitors and visitors, Alıcı added:
“As expected, we received very positive feedback from our Istanbul-based participants. This is not merely a bridal fair; it is a comprehensive fair where eveningwear, groom wear, and accessories also take center stage. İzmir is the right location for this fair. For centuries—indeed for much longer—İzmir has been the first port where East met West and West met East. For 600 years, it was Anatolia’s largest port city. Although İzmir has recently lost some of its port advantages to cities like Athens and Piraeus, today we are working jointly with İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, İzmir Chamber of Commerce, Aegean Region Chamber of Industry, and the Aegean Exporters’ Associations to restore İzmir’s port identity and economic vitality. All of these institutions are already partners of İZFAŞ. Our vision for IF Wedding Fashion İzmir goes far beyond what we have discussed here. Following a presentation by Yeşim Yiğit, İZFAŞ Fashion Fairs Coordinator, who shared information on preparations for 2020 as well as advertising and promotion activities, the opinions of attending industry professionals were gathered. The views and suggestions of the city’s leading figures were carefully noted by the İZFAŞ team, and participants left the meeting highly satisfied.
