There are only a few days left until the 14th IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – Bridal Wear, Groom Wear and Eveningwear Fair, which will be held for the 14th time between January 21–24, 2020, organized by İZFAŞ in partnership with the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association (EGSD) and hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality. Creating great excitement across all segments of İzmir—Türkiye’s fashion capital—IF Wedding Fashion İzmir aims to make a significant contribution not only to the city’s economy but also to the national economy. Alongside B2B meetings with domestic and international buyers and fashion shows presenting brand-new designs, the fair’s extensive program of events will directly engage the sector. With hands-on panels, conferences featuring leading names, and a variety of special activities, participants will experience four days filled with content and inspiration.
Events at IF Wedding Fashion İzmir will begin on January 22 with hands-on sessions organized by Locca Salon & Wella Professionals Turkey. Between 11:00 and 12:00, a Hands-on Make-Up Talk will bring professionals together, followed by a Hands-on Hair Design Event from 12:00 to 13:00. On the same day, between 16:00 and 17:00, fashion designers Yiğit Eryendi, Taner Tabaklı, and Sinem Mardi will serve as moderators in a Hands-on Draping Workshop.
Wednesday, January 22, will be a full and dynamic day. The topic of fashion, which closely concerns many industry professionals, will take center stage at IF Wedding Fashion İzmir. The panel titled “Is Sustainable Fashion Possible in Türkiye?” will begin at 14:30. Moderated by Mukadder Özden, Vice President of the Fashion and Ready-to-Wear Federation, the panel will feature Hüseyin Öztürk (President of the Fashion and Ready-to-Wear Federation), Burak Sertbaş (Chairman of the Board of the Aegean Ready-to-Wear and Apparel Exporters’ Association), Hayati Ertuğrul (Chairman of the Board of the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association), Mukaddes Başkaya (textile industry professional), and Yasemin Yalçınkaya (General Manager of MQ Retail Türkiye). Future-oriented fashion perspectives and 2020–2021 trends will be discussed.
On January 23, between 14:30 and 15:00, the panel titled “Design of Intersections”, moderated by Nihat Özdal, will feature Hatice Gökçe and Şakir Özüdoğru as speakers. Later, between 16:00 and 16:30, fashion enthusiasts will gather for a talk on “2020 Fashion Trends” by Şaziment Aybars, moderated by Nazlı Terzioğlu.
