Final Day Fashion Shows at IF Wedding Fashion İzmir Drew Great Admiration
The runway shows presented on the final day of IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – the 19th Bridal Gown, Groom Suit and Evening Wear Fair, hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ in cooperation with the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association (EGSD), attracted great attention.
Welcoming thousands of professional visitors from across Türkiye and various countries around the world over three days, and witnessing numerous commercial agreements, IF Wedding Fashion İzmir also hosted fashion shows where companies showcased their latest collections.
On the last day, a mixed runway show featuring designs from distinguished exhibitors took place under designer Erkan Yılmaz’s signature, titled “World of the Fashion.” Choreographed by Akif Örük, the show included famous models such as Güzide Duran, Özge Ulusoy, Demet Şener, Ivana Sert, Wilma Elles, Ece Gürsel, Gizem Özdilli, and Simge Tertemiz.
Buyers from many countries followed the final fashion show with great interest. After the show, models shared their feelings, saying:
“It was a joy to be here for three days. We presented the designs of companies that are the pride of Turkish fashion. We are tired, but it was worth it.”
“I Believe All Brands Should Be Here”
Highlighting the importance of fairs, Wilma Elles stated:
“Being here is now even more important. Retail stores are decreasing, and everything is moving online. But seeing and feeling the fabric, the design, and the dress up close is truly essential. The outfit you see on me cannot be fully understood through a screen—it must be experienced here, by touch. That is why I believe everyone, and all brands, should be here at the fair.”
A Mother–Daughter Fashion Show
Another highlight of the final day was a special runway show by İzmir-based designer Ayla Ölçer, created together with her daughter Melisa Ölçer, a fashion design student.
Their collection, featuring bridal gowns and evening wear, offered the audience an impressive fashion experience. Organized by Duman Agency with choreography by Serkan and Gökhan Duman, the show brought together 30 local and international models, including Özge Ulusoy and Wilma Elles, who took to the runway.
