IF Wedding Fashion İzmir opens its doors for the 16th time
IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – Bridal Wear, Groom Wear and Eveningwear Fair will open its doors for the 16th time at fuarizmir between November 22–25, 2022. Drawing great interest from the sector with its commercial agreements, fashion- and design-shaping events, and three days of runway shows featuring renowned names, IF Wedding Fashion İzmir will continue to serve as the industry’s gateway to the world for bridal wear, groom wear, and eveningwear.
Held in İzmir—the capital of fashion and bridalwear—and recognized as one of Europe’s largest fashion fairs, IF Wedding Fashion İzmir will welcome participants and visitors from around the globe for the 16th time this year. Organized by İZFAŞ with the partnership of the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association (EGSD) and hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, the fair has grown even larger this year due to strong interest from industry representatives. Compared to last year, both the number of exhibitors and the exhibition area have increased by approximately 30%. Taking place across Halls A and B at fuarizmir, covering a total area of 50,000 square meters, the fair will be held between November 22–25, 2022. With the sector reaching pre-pandemic levels in sales volume, turnover, and exports this season, the fair is fully booked, and there is strong interest in domestic and international buyer delegations. As in previous years, IF Wedding will make a significant contribution to production, the economy, and exports for both İzmir and Türkiye.
This year, the fair hosts 222 exhibitors operating in bridal wear, groom wear, eveningwear, accessories, and children’s wear, from across Türkiye and 10 countries, including the United States, Germany, Canada, and Hong Kong. In addition to thousands of domestic professional visitors, the fair is expected to welcome nearly 3,000 international visitors from more than 100 countries. Due to strong exhibitor demand, plans are already underway to expand the fair to three halls next year.
Where fashion meets design, IF Wedding Fashion İzmir will continue to offer opportunities to leading industry professionals for the 16th time. Hosting the first showcases of 2023 collections, the fair will once again dazzle with glittering runways featuring prestigious brands and young talents, accompanied by top models. A total of 18 fashion shows will be held over three days. Participating designers will present their bridal and eveningwear collections in specially designated areas. Additionally, the Performance Fashion Show of Hasancan Meşelik, winner of last year’s Bridal Gown Design Competition, will be presented to designers, exhibitors, and visitors—offering emerging talents the chance to stage their first professional runway show.
Within the scope of the fair, the winners among the 15 finalists of the 13th Bridal Gown Design Competition will be announced at the gala fashion show on opening day. Held under the theme “Modaverse” to reveal new-age designs that carry the traces of traditional fashion, the competition will award its winners not only special prizes but also a strong entry into the industry.
