One of Europe’s largest fashion fairs, IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – Bridal, Groom and Evening Wear Fair, is preparing to open its doors for the 19th time at Fuar İzmir on 20 January 2026. İzmir, one of Türkiye’s leading cities in bridal and evening wear production, will once again take its place at the center of the global fashion scene thanks to IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, with its strong design culture and export capacity. This year, the fair will bring together more than 200 brands with professional buyers in İzmir.
IF Wedding Fashion İzmir will be organized at Fuar İzmir under the auspices of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality by İZFAŞ, in partnership with the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association and the Fashion and Ready-to-Wear Federation. Hosting companies that shape the sector with their bridal, groom, evening wear, accessories and children’s evening wear collections, as well as industry professionals from all over the world, the fair will be open exclusively to professional visitors. Responding to sector demand, IF Wedding Fashion İzmir has been moved back to January and will take place over three days this year, positioning İzmir once again as the center of fashion and trade. Covering Tuesday–Wednesday–Thursday, the fair will be held in a more intensive, efficient and business-oriented format following the four-day schedule applied in previous years.
The previous edition welcomed 14,606 industry professionals, including 3,110 international visitors from 79 countries, demonstrating the fair’s strong international presence. This year, participants and purchasing delegations from a wide geography stretching from Europe to the Americas, and from the Middle East to Asia, are expected to meet in İzmir.
While Türkiye ranks among the leading countries in global bridal and evening wear production, İzmir stands out as one of the sector’s key centers with its strong production infrastructure, qualified workforce and export capacity. IF Wedding Fashion İzmir aims to increase the global visibility of both the city and Türkiye by bringing this production power together with international buyers over three days.
The brand of Randy Fenoli, known worldwide for the television program “Say Yes to the Dress” and a jury member of last year’s Bridal Gown Design Competition, will also take part in the fair, once again meeting the industry in İzmir.
Throughout the three-day fair, thousands of domestic professional visitors as well as approximately 3,000 international professionals from nearly 100 countries are expected to attend. International purchasing delegations coming to İzmir will contribute to the establishment of new business connections through direct meetings with participating companies.
At IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, where 2027 collections will be showcased, designs by leading brands and young talents of the sector will be presented over three days through an intensive fashion show program. The runway shows, accompanied by renowned models, will take place in Hall B and will be broadcast live simultaneously to Hall A. Special exhibitions prepared exclusively for the fair will also meet visitors in the same area.
In addition to its commercial dimension, the fair also stands out with its role in introducing young designers to the sector. This year, the 16th Bridal Gown Design Competition will be held under the theme “Balance.” Among 206 designs by 103 designers, 15 young designers selected as finalists will bring their creations to life under the guidance of professional mentors. The finalists will present their collections at a fashion show held one day before the fair, and the finalist designs will be exhibited throughout the event.
The winner will receive a 100,000 TRY cash prize and earn the right to stage a performance fashion show at IF Wedding Fashion İzmir 2027. The second-place designer will receive 75,000 TRY, and the third-place designer 50,000 TRY. The performance fashion show of Öztürk Yıkılmaz, winner of last year’s competition, will also be presented on the IF Wedding Fashion İzmir 2026 runway.
