Renowned designer Cihan Nacar at IF Wedding Fashion İzmir!
Between November 16–19, İzmir will be swept by the much-anticipated IF Wedding Fashion excitement. With its 2022 collections, special stage shows, and runways featuring celebrated names, the fair will transform into a true fashion festival.
One of the most eagerly awaited events of the fair will be the Cihan Nacar Gala Fashion Show. Achieving international success with his creative and modern vision and proudly representing Türkiye on the global fashion stage, the renowned designer will leave his mark on the fair with his collection titled “Mystery Garden.”
Combining his artistic education—begun in his high school years—with fashion and continuing his studies in Spain, Cihan Nacar stands out with the innovative perspective he has brought to the fashion world. Eight years ago, he founded his namesake brand and achieved international success in beachwear. Today, he has expanded his work to include haute couture collections, creating custom designs for many celebrities. Successfully positioning himself among the global pioneers of the chic and elegant swimwear design movement, Nacar presented the world’s first “Couture Beachwear” fashion show in recent years and has since showcased his designs at numerous exclusive events in Türkiye.
Keeping pace with the digitalized world, Nacar presented his Spring–Summer 2021 collection digitally in 2020, staging the show within the magnificent atmosphere of Tophane-i Amire. Known for blending art and fashion in his productions, he later introduced the same collection at the Arsenal International Museum of Art and Culture in Kyiv, accompanied by a 40-member Ukrainian Symphony Orchestra. Stating that “women” have always been his main source of inspiration, Cihan Nacar enjoys reflecting the changing moods, urban dynamism, and strong stance of modern city women. Revealing the delicacy and romanticism beneath strength and success, Nacar promises fashion lovers a unique show at IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, aiming to present his masterful creations in a striking composition.
Fashion lovers are in for major surprises at the Gala Fashion Show, which will be opened by Tülin Şahin and closed by Çağla Şikel. The show will feature successful models such as Şevval Şahin, Deren Ertaş, and Kayra Türkoviç Erjena, and will be hosted by Burcu Esmersoy. Presenting his first professional runway show in İzmir within the scope of IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, Cihan Nacar will take audiences on a mysterious journey with his “Mystery Garden” collection. His signature designs—reflecting mystical places and the beauty and mystery of blossoming, growing flowers—tell inner human stories. The 30-piece collection, dominated by vibrant colors, will also include one bridal gown.
Emphasizing that İzmir is a pioneering city in design, Cihan Nacar expressed his excitement about taking part in IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, which was born from the İzmir Fair—one of Türkiye’s key economic and cultural legacies. Proud to present a runway show for the first time at a world-renowned fair in İzmir, Nacar said:
“İzmir is a truly important location for the sector… It’s a city I personally love and work with extensively. Staging this show in a city that shapes the industry inspires me. As you know, nearly half of Türkiye’s bridal and eveningwear production takes place in İzmir. As a brand that has transitioned from swimwear to couture, we are extremely happy to be part of this.”
Stating that they prepared a fair-exclusive collection within a short period of three months with great dedication, the designer added that he was especially excited to reunite physically with the fashion community within the scope of a fair:
“Since 2020, many events have been held online due to the pandemic. However, physical organizations are particularly important in our sector. In that sense, this fair is one I’ve prepared for very thoroughly. We will be presenting a bridal gown for the first time under our own brand. I hope that, just like our ‘Couture Beachwear’ show, this fair will lead to successful projects in bridalwear as well.”

IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – 15th Bridal Wear, Groom Wear and Eveningwear Fair will take place at fuarizmir between November 16–19, 2021, organized by İZFAŞ under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, and partnered by the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association (EGSD).
